All decorating must be done at home before bringing your pumpkin to school.
All pumpkins must be school appropriate.
Bring your pumpkin to the Guidance Office first for check-in before it’s placed on display in the cafeteria.
Deadline: Pumpkins must be turned in by Tuesday, October 28.
🍁 Pumpkin Display: October 27–31 in the cafeteria 👻 Winner Announced: Halloween Day! 🏆 Prize: The winning pumpkin’s creator will report to the Guidance Department and see Mrs. Cindy Mills to claim their prize!

🎉 It’s Spirit Week at Pike Central High School! 🎉
We’re celebrating our fall sports seniors this week and adding a little extra fun before Fall Break! 🍂⚡
Show your Charger pride by joining in on our themed dress-up days all week long!
On September 24th, all 13 of our members traveled to Danville, IN to attend the Indiana FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Fall Leadership Rally — marking the first time our entire chapter has gone together! 🙌
Our students joined over 500 other FCCLA members from across the state, where they were inspired by an uplifting and motivational message from Tim Wiese, who shared the keys to being a great leader and encouraged everyone to FEEL GREAT! 💪✨
Afterward, members took part in hands-on workshops, focused on traffic safety and smart driving, gaining valuable knowledge to bring back home.
They’re already excited and can’t wait to attend again next year! ❤️

Mr. Scott's Precision Machining classes have been collecting aluminum cans as a fundraiser. Recently, they took 7 barrels of crushed cans to recycling. Based on weight, they had approximately 7900 cans! That's a lot of cans kept out of the landfill. If anyone has aluminum cans they would like to donate, just contact Mr. Scott at markscott@pcsc.k12.in.us

Mr. Lamey and Mrs. Richardson met with the sophomores and juniors today to discuss options for Work-Based Learning that are available for them as seniors. Lots of opportunities for students if they keep the grades up and have good attendance. If any parents have questions, reach out to the Guidance Department or Mr. Brad Lamey.

Our FFCLA organization is AWESOME! They will be recycling paper from the school , shredding it, combining it with scraps from the cafeteria and transform it into compost. That compost will be fed to their worm farm, which in turn will produce nutrient-rich worm castings. These are a natural fertilizer which will be use to help nourish our very own Charger Garden and greenhouse. The Charger Garden helps provide vegetables and herbs that are used in the foods classes and even by our cafeteria!
Feel free to view or visit the Charger Garden located on the west side of the greenhouse. Our staff and students rock!

Great option for 2nd semester. If your child is interested, they will need to talk with their guidance counselor. Mr. Igel and Pike Central seniors welcomed Congressman Mark Messmer on Aug 15 to the Vance Hay's Auditorium. Mr. Messmer spoke to students about why he ran for office and all the offices he has held. He also spoke with students about many aspects of representative democracy, our constitution and valuable information on different aspects of our federal government. The floor was then open to questions from the students. Thank you Congressman Messmer for sharing your morning with our students.
