Mrs. Hunt’s Culinary class spent four days hard at work, making, rolling 190 dozen homemade rolls for our FCCLA fundraiser! Thanks to the incredible help of Sherry Small, who help Mrs. Hunt guide the students with her expertise, starting 15 bread machines at 6:30 am to ensure our students would be successful and then our crew hand rolled more than 2,280 rolls, this huge project became possible with Sherry's help. The group went through 140 lbs. of flour, 190 eggs, 9 lbs. of butter and 50 ounces of yeast!
It truly took a village—students and supporters came together to measure and calculate ingredients, practice real culinary skills, sell items, and strengthen their teamwork and communication. They were busy, busy, busy. If they taste half as good as they smelled, whoever bought some will be lucky! #FCCLA

After exploring the hog barns, he also shared his cow operation and showed the group a gorgeous old barn that made the perfect backdrop for a group photo.
Students learned about market hog production, barn management, and the biosecurity practices used to keep pigs healthy. They even got a little introduction to the beef side of the operation. It was an incredible day of real-world learning! A special thank you to Kloe at the Purdue Extension Office for making this all happen.

The class experimented with eight different recipes, perfecting each one through rounds of student and staff taste testing. Along the way, they learned valuable culinary skills, such as balancing wet-to-dry ingredient ratios, recipe development, and teamwork in a real-world kitchen setting.
We are so proud of these young chefs for their creativity, dedication and commitment to healthy local foods? # ChargerPride #Yummy

Show your Charger pride by joining in on our themed dress-up days all week long!

Our students joined over 500 other FCCLA members from across the state, where they were inspired by an uplifting and motivational message from Tim Wiese, who shared the keys to being a great leader and encouraged everyone to FEEL GREAT! 💪✨
Afterward, members took part in hands-on workshops, focused on traffic safety and smart driving, gaining valuable knowledge to bring back home.
They’re already excited and can’t wait to attend again next year! ❤️
