PCSC received a grant from the Indiana Department of Health to work with local retailers who sell tobacco products. Students worked with Mr. Elliott, Ms. Elkins, Mrs. Sparrow and Mrs. Lehmkuhler to visit these establishments, perform the entire audit and then submitted the information to IDOH. They assessed not only tobacco products, but other food products as well and making sure the mandatory signage was present. There was a lot of information for them to gather.
After the results of the audit are released by the State, all of the information will be shared with the classes who participated.
The experience was great for all of the students! ALL of the retailers were very helpful and even provided education to the students along the way!

On March 1st, the Fire and Rescue class conducted search and rescue operations at the Patoka Township Fire Department's training building. Students conducted simulated conditions with no lighting and using a smoke machine. There are various rooms and scenarios that were set up to search for a victim. Students searched with and without a thermal imaging camera. Great job to the students who participated!
