Hoffman earns 1st place at INTMA

Carson Hoffman, Forest Park and Pike Central Precision Machining student, placed first at the 17th annual Indiana Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association's (INTMA) machining competition held at the Central 9 Career Center Center, in Greenwood, on Saturday, February 16th.
A total  of 29 students from 15 schools from around the state competed. Carson won a $1500 scholarship to VU, which is in addition to the  $2500 scholarship he won for winning the SkillsUSA regional at VU on February 2nd. In addition, he won a machinist toolbox and machinist tools valued at approximately $1500. Also, a check for $1000 was given to the school/program of the winning student.
