Pike Central High School's Business Professionals of America chapter recently competed in the Regional Competition which was held at Ivy Tech's Evansville Campus.  There, the students presented, tested or completed the work for their chosen event(s).  Pike Central had an impressive day, with 12 members advancing to State Competition.  The Global Marketing team of Jalah Barnes, Demi Coak, Lexie Miller and Andrew Clark placed second.  The Small Business Management team of Katie Spalding, Emily Hill, Courtney Fair and Josh Brandle also earned second.  Sydney Keith placed second in the Medical Office Procedures, Madison Warner earned first in Basic Office Systems.  Emily Brasher placed second in Human Resource Mangement, and Aspen Wynn advanced in two events:  Banking and Finance, and Business Law and Ethics.  Just missing the mark for State, but placing well were Abby Sutt with a fourth in Interview Skills, Gage Reibold placed fifth in Human Resource Managment, and the team of Faryn Hensler, Adam Martinez, and Evan McGuire earned third in Administrative Support Team.  The Indiana State BPA Conference will be held in Indianapolis in March.
